At Dublin City Council Film Office, we are deeply committed to supporting Dublin City Council’s bold climate ambition as set out in its Climate Neutral Dublin 2030 plan.
Dublin City Council’s Climate Action Plan (2024–2029) outlines a transformative vision: reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 51% by 2030 (relative to a 2018 baseline), becoming more resilient to climate impacts, and leading the transition to a low-carbon future.
DCC Film Office is proud to contribute to this effort by integrating environmental sustainability into all aspects of our operations and the way productions interact with the city.
In line with the city’s climate action goals, our Film Office sustainability objectives include:
To formalise this commitment, from 09/02/2026, all filming applications submitted with a budget of €500,000 or more, must include a sustainability policy document. For filming applications with a budget less than €500,000, we kindly request that you submit a completed copy of our sustainability check list which can be found here.
This policy should:
Set clear, realistic sustainability targets for the production.
We believe that by requiring a sustainability policy, we can make every production in Dublin part of the city’s journey towards a climate-neutral future.
